THE SHLEF
Found deep underground in neolithic soil, it had the sound-ecologists wondering how this object managed to create its own resonation. And how, above all, was it made out of peuogot bike parts?
The shlefklassen is a mutlisensory exploration of soundings and touchings for children aged 0-110. Built from found objects, ad-hoc organs, and soft play objects, contact mics allow us to listen in to our tactile engagement with our surroundings. It is part of a broader project on sonic fiction workshops, writings and soundings.
Performed and developed at Alencon in collaboration with Chapelmele, Sept 2022, and Hastings with Lifesize(UK) and Brutpop (FR). Sonic Fair, oct 2022.
